Hawaiian Cupcake Toppers


Add tropical flair to your summer treats with these fondant toppers!




  • Satin Ice Bright Green Fondant
  • Satin Ice Pink Fondant
  • Satin Ice Purple Fondant
  • Satin Ice White Fondant
  • Satin Ice Dark Chocolate Fondant
  • 2" Circle Cutter
  • 1" Leaf Cutter
  • 1 1/4" Square Cutter
  • 1/4" Plum Flower Cutter
  • Small Sharp Knife
  • Rolling Pin
  • Corn starch
  • Water
  • Food safe paint brush

Palm Leaf

Step 1:

Knead and roll out bright green fondant 1/8th of an inch thick and cut out a circle.

Step 2:

Using the leaf cutter, cut out 7 bright green leaves.

Step 3:

Use a small amount of water to adhere the green leaves on top of the bright green fondant circle in a circular formation.

Step 4:

Knead and roll out some purple Fondant and some pink fondant. Using the plum cutter. cut out 3 flowers from each color.

Step 5:

Place the small plum flowers horizontally on top of the green leaves alternating in color.

Hawaiian Skirt

Step 1:

Knead and roll out blue fondant 1/8” thick and cut out a circle.

Step 2:

Create and tan fondant color mixing a small amount of dark brown fondant into white fondant.

Step 3:

Cut out a small square. Cut the sides of the square on a slight angle so that the bottom is wider than the top, then cut a little bit across the top.

Step 4:

Cut slits that reach about ¾ of the way to the top of the skirt.

Step 5:

Knead a small amount of pink fondant, form 2 small balls about the size of a pea and roll them into 2 skinny logs. Twist the skinny logs together to create a rope. Then attach this rope to the top of the skirt. Use a small amount of water to adhere the skirt to the blue fondant circle.

Step 6:

Knead and roll out a small amount of purple fondant. Using the plum cutter, cut out a flower and attach it to the right side of the pink rope.

Necklace

Step 1:

Knead and roll out pink fondant 1/8” thick and cut out a circle.

Step 2:

Knead a small amount of brown fondant, form 2 balls about the size of a pea and then roll them into 2 skinny logs. Twist the skinny logs together to create a “U” shape to form the necklace - and attach it to the pink fondant circle.

Step 3:

Create an ivory shade by mixing a very small amount of dark brown fondant into white Fondant.

Step 4:

To create the shells for the necklace, form 3 small balls about the size of a pea and then mold them into an oval shape. Use a small knife to indent a line down the center of each oval. Place the three shells in the center of the necklace.
