Steps to create the velvet effect:
- Add some white fondant to the chocolate to lighten it up just a tad.
- Steam the cake. If you don't have a steamer you can paint the cake with a little bit of water. Keep in mind: you want the cake a little wet, barely damp.
- Use the blush brush to dab cocoa powder all over the cake and then brush it around to clear the excess off. Remember you can add as little or as much as you want to get the effect you desire.
