Christmas Bird Cake

A festive and elegant Christmas tiered cake by Satin Ice Artist of Excellence Eva Salazar. Learn how to make some of the elements from this stunning cake here!

  • Satin Ice fondant - white and red
  • Satin Ice gum paste - colored red, white
  • Make up brush
  • Sponge
  • Luster dust - jade green, camel dust, black, red, brown
  • Stencils of your choice
  • Rubber stamp with image of your choice
  • Snowflake cutter
  • Silver pearls
  • Fondant tools
  • Edible marker - brown
  • Food gel- white

Let's Get Started:

  • Cover your cakes with red and white fondant.

  • Use two stencils of your choice to create an elegant effect in paint on the cake.

  • Apply jade green dust with a sponge - very lightly. While doing so, support the stencil with some tape or an extra set of hands to help. 

  • To create the old/antique finished effect, apply camel dust with a make up brush and black dust to the bottom tier.
