About Zahra Fatahi
Zahra Fatahi is a professional cake designer and certified master sugar artist. Growing up in Iran, Zahra became very passionate about art and decided to take her passion to the next level. She graduated with a degree in architecture then interned at a patisserie cordon bleu school in California. At that time she was interested in pastry, although she was good at her profession - but not satisfied. She then decided to go to The Notter School of Pastry Arts to learn under world famous chocolatier and sugar sculptor Ewald Notter.
Zahra worked hard and became recognized as one of his finest students and ended up assisting Notter in many demonstrations and classes. Her creative passion immediately caught the attention of award winning cake artist and fellow Satin Ice Artist of Excellence, Mercedes Strachwsky (Bake Me A Cake, Orlando). Zahra, worked with Strachwsky in Florida and was motivated to take her cake skills to the next level. In 2010, Zahra competed in the Ocala cake competition, Oklahoma Sugar Art Show and National Wedding Cake competition placing in the Top 3.
Today, Zahra is owner of Vista Bakery and sugar art school and studio where she specializes in modern wedding cake designs and sugar flowers. She is also teaching chocolate and cake decorating in some countries while enjoying her commitments of being a Satin Ice Artist of Excellence.
