His cakes have been featured in The New York Times, New York magazine, In Style and Vogue, among others.
Ron is the chef and owner of one of the country's finest cake studios, Ron Ben-Israel Cakes, and was first discovered after having his cakes on display in NYC storefronts including: Villeroy & Boch, Baccarat, De Beers, Bloomingdale's and Bergdorf Goodman. Ron's first cake studio was located in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and now he is located in mid-town where he is offering classes.
Ron has received numerous gold medals and awards in culinary competitions, and shares his passion, techniques, and secrets with the students of the French Culinary Institute in New York. Ron is currently a judge on Food Networks' Cake Wars.
Some of his most notable cakes throughout the years include: the Plaza'a 100th birthday cake - which was an exact replica of the NYC landmark - and the Sex and the City 2 wedding cake.
