Lace Wedding Cake

  • Satin Ice Fondant - Black
  • Silicon mat
  • Lace mat
  • Smoother
  • Pizza cutter
  • Royal icing with 1.5 tip
  • Cornstarch
  • Brushes
  • Large rolling pin
  • Black food coloring
  • Small off set spatula
  • Scissors
  • Piping gel
  • Flexique

Let's Get Started:

  • Mix the black cake lace to the Flaxique’s instructions and add black food coloring to mix well and spread on to the mat. Take the excess off with off set spatula and let it air dry for 3-5 hours .

  • Cover cakes with black fondant.

  • Start to put your cakes together, making sure that it is doweled correctly. Royal ice each dowel and place the next cake on.

  • Remove cake lace from the mat.

  • Attach cake lace on the bottom two cakes right after removed, you can adhere with some piping gel as well. 
  • Start from the bottom tier all over around. Use your hand to make sure the lace is attached completely on the cake.

  • Start piping white lace with royal icing on the front side from top to the bottom, Making sure all the piping without pointed. Use small brush with cooled boiled water if it is needed.
